Laos again. How could anyplace that looked so peaceful be such a hellhole?
Very few of the air crews downed over Laos were ever repatriated. If you
were a crypto guy you were, in my opinion, headed for a prison system where
very sophisticated "debriefings" could be administered --- like, maybe, in
the USSR.
