Bring back memories? This is stuff in the basement of the presidential palace in Saigon, now called the Reunification Palace. More familiar looking stuff from the presidential palace basement in Saigon. This one speaks for itself, the main gate and the railroad crossing. This one of the main gate area is taken from about 50 yards north of the entrance.
(1)This one is shot with a little zoom from the road, over the tracks, you can see some of the buildings. (2)A wider angle, it gets more buildings in there. This was along the road heading down from Hue. This is a shot from the road of a building that now sits where A row did. Two storey high of cinder block.
Just to let you that was it was really me that was there. This is inside the Citadel in Hue. The one and only shot I got to take inside the base. A special mission for Danny Owen. This one is along the road. The small amount of white building in the back stands where A row used to be. This is the better of the two shots, taken as I was leaving the airport Hue/Phu Bai airport. Smaller shot, but not bad, gives a little different angle. |
