Vern, just back from Nam and in starched khackis. What does this tell us? He was with the ASA, he still had more time to put in...	Vern, one of the ASA's foremost online personalities displays himself and his 8th RRFS T-Shirt. EMail Vern and tell him how cute he looks. (ABOVE) I got 2 girls!!! One is now an english teacher and the other is gonna be a junior in college. She is gonna be in the sports information biz.

A pic of me and the little woman (Linda) back in about 1978 I had been on a "running diet" and lost 40 lbs. Also gained 6 months of facial hair for our village centennial. I got 2nd or 3rd place for longest beard!

And finally, Vern describes this pic as "...a picture of me and Gussie Thomas eating c rats off the fender of our jeep..."

I'd say it was two U/I guys walking down a road during the monsoon season. But, hey, who am I???

Vern recants: the two guys walking is indeed "going for dinner"
Two members of our team ahead of me (hungrier?) going down to center of village to a small shop that had a table, chairs and a refrigerator. Only problem, was the VC had occasion to take pot shots down "main street" at odd times, making it always an adventure going to dinner. A few months later the VC overran the entire MACV operation there, luckily we didn't have a team there at the time but did return later in the year.
