 ASA Operations Bunker at
FSB Berchtesgaden
[ ...and he says they werent construction engineers... ]
The ASA Bunker at FSB Berchtesgaden (May 1969). The entrance is down a flight of steps made from wooden ammo box lids behind the sandbag rifle position in the right foreground. These led down to a sleeping room at the foot of the stairs under a roof of PSP steel planking and then covered with sandbags in the middle and next was a conex box as an operations room buried in the ground and then covered with sandbags, in the left foreground.

On the hill above our bunker you can see some of the bunkers of the artillery crews up the hill.
