Me and Mama-san's son taken at back door to "Old French Barracks." Notice the knit cap he is wearing in the tropical climate of Vietnam. It turned out that he had a horrible infection on his head and wore the hat to hide it. The Company first sergeant gave me permission to take him to the medi-vac unit up the road form Trai Bac. The doctors there gave him a shot of anti-biotic and some topical creme to put on his head, both the infection and the hat disappeared in a few days.
